A woman was hoping to sell a sham plot of land to our client at Badore for a sum of N9,000,000 and claimed that the land fell within the Oketiri village excision. A detailed search conducted by our team  found out that the property was within a committed government acquisition.

A woman was looking to sell a plot of land to our client at badore town for a sum of N9,000,000.

A meeting was scheduled between us and this woman to verify her ownership claim to the land. At the meeting, the woman narrated how she became vested with title over the property. She claimed to have acquired the land from the customary landowners of the community some years ago and she has never been approached by anyone disputing her title. She also swore heaven and earth that the land fell within the Oketiri village excision

We requested to see her title documents which she gladly presented to us. We were shown copies of her original deed of assignment signed by representatives of the family as well as a registered survey plan in her name.
As a matter of practice, we instructed our surveyor to go to the site to confirm the status of the land. Upon detailed survey search conducted by him, we found out that the property did not only fall outside the stated excision but was within committed government acquisition. Our client has not stopped thanking us!
